Model, actor, and English teacher Sunny Burns spent last night in the custody of Thai police after a social media campaign falsely identified him as the suspected Bangkok bomber.
Burns took to Facebook to explain his situation after handing himself over to police last night, fearing he may be arrested.
Burns had previously used his tutoring Facebook page to send out his condolences to Thailand and those affected by the blasts.
Police were able to prove Burns' innocence after finding footage of the model's whereabouts at the time of the bombings.
BuzzFeed News has reached out to Burns for comment.
