This NZ Politician Accidentally Retweeted A Photo Of A Serial Killer

Just hours after Donald Trump was trolled in the same prank, New Zealand MP Peter Dunne has retweeted a photo of notorious serial killer Harold Shipman.

Earlier today, New Zealand member of parliament Peter Dunne retweeted what appeared to be a message from a relative of a deceased a supporter.

Twitter users were quick to point out that the photo was actually of notorious British serial killer Harold Shipman.

Dunne seemed to reply, although to the wrong person.

The real person behind the tweet appears to be Twitter user William Guy, who apologised soon after tweeting.

@PeterDunneMP You're a good man and a good sport; I've just got to keep politicians on their toes! All the best for your next term.
