This Giant Teddy Bear Has Ridiculously Long Legs And People Can’t Stop Laughing

"I was expecting the bear to be huge because it's 6.5 feet right? No, all of its height is from its legs and the legs are longer than its upper body."

This is the Joyfay 6.5-foot-tall (78 inches) Giant Teddy Bear. It comes in white and brown and costs just under $US110.

For the most part you would think that this was just a gigantic toy bear — and you'd be right — however, the exact proportions of the stuffed toy have led to people absolutely losing their shit online.

i'm abt to drop $100 on that bear w 4 ft long legs i can't stop fucking CRYING

You see, there's no other way to put it: the bear has some long-ass legs.

I am seriously considering buying the big ass bear with long ass legs

    Like, a-lot-longer-than-its-torso legs.

the page for that long-legged bear is just stellar https://t.co/nGA6n9fS5b

The two Giant Teddy Bears have over 100 reviews each (and 4.5 stars out of 5), and some don't even mention the enormously lengthy legs. People are quite happy with the product.

Answering a question on Amazon, someone said that of the 78 inches that make up the bear, 36 are delegated to the legs. That's a lot of legs.

But others, well ... The reviews aren't great:

"Hideous! The legs are like four feet long making the bear look like a creepy gumby thing. I got this for Valentine's Day and would have rather had a cheaper more proportional bear...I mean this isn't even cute."

"I was expecting the bear to be huge because it's 6.5 feet right? No, all of its height is from its legs and the legs are longer than its upper body."

    "Long legs but otherwise good."

And some people were pissed about the pictures used to advertise the bear:

On Twitter, screenshots of the reviews have gone viral. It's left everyone in a very troubled, erratic and hysterical state.

Twitter is wild today. And that bear with the long legs fucked me up for a good 3 or 4 minutes and I’m not sure exactly why, but it’s good.

i'm dying laughing at the teddy bear with human proportioned legs i'm acrually crying

Basically everyone was: (a) losing their mind; (b) crying; (c) specifically mentioning "long ass legs"; or (d), talking about how badly they wanted to buy the bear.

I work at the large bear factory and it's my job to put disproportionately long legs on some of the bears.

@cooltonedcutie "Your bear with the freakishly long legs arrived"

In a video review, YouTuber drumr828 described — in detail — the issue with the long-ass legs.

Drumr828 thinks that both the 4-foot-tall model and the 6-foot-tall model are essentially the same, with Joyfay choosing to just lengthen the legs (and only the legs) of the 4-foot model to create a taller bear. That's why the legs are so, so long.

Turns out quite a few people own the bear already:

@braddybb @lanesainty Looking at the bear my wife has, the legs do seem a little too long. Hadn’t really noticed un… https://t.co/cUEJeuHp7O

After asking what sized long-ass bear we'd like to buy, a spokesperson for JoyFay said the bear has been improved and no longer has long legs. Which, tbh, is a bit of a shame.

The fact still remains: This bear has some long-ass legs. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. But it's certainly a thing.
