Boy Shocked By Electricity Says He Has Superpowers Like Magneto

A Russian boy claims to have "magnetic powers" after an incident where he was electrified and thrown across the pavement.

This article was based on material provided by the CEN/Europics news agency, distributed via Newscom. We have been unable to verify its accuracy independently, for reasons explained here.

12-year-old Nikolai Kryaglyachenko was walking home from school when he was electrified by a faulty wire after leaning against a lamppost.

I can do things I couldn't do before but I don't have a lot of control over it. Even when I do not want to do it, I still attract things.

Nikolai was "blasted across the pavement" by the electrical force, and has since decided he no longer wants to be a fireman when he is older, instead going for the more appropriate role of superhero.

There is some skepticism that Nikolai's "power" exists just because he is very sweaty, and thus sticky, as was the case when a 7-year-old Serbian boy also gained "Magneto powers."

According to his classmates, Nikolai can also turn others into "live magnets" as well.

Is this the start of a mutant race? Are we wrong to be so skeptical? Is Magneto now a reality? Only time will tell...
