This May (Or May Not) Be The Greatest Mansplaining Shutdown Ever

"I wrote the article."

A Twitter exchange has gone viral between journalist Casey Johnston and an online troll.

An image of the tweet exchange has almost gotten 2,000 retweets, whilst the original tweet has racked up well over 1,000 favourites.

However, Tomas Sancio is alleging to have made a typo when tweeting Johnston, and tweeted a lengthy defense.

@caseyjohnston Of course, the first thing I read when I "read the full article" was the name of the author. Cheers <img src="http://twemoji.maxcdn.com/36x36/1f603.png">

@gretared @caseyjohnston hi, I meant "I read the article", not "go read the article". Omitted the "I" for space & didn't proof-read enough.

@gretared @caseyjohnston wrote that because one of her previous posts complained that people commented @siracusa 's review without reading

@gretared @caseyjohnston so I make sure that I read the article to see if she raised the point of role models. Since she didn't, I replied

@gretared @caseyjohnston when I my son plays soccer, role models are a dime a dozen. When I teach my daughter math, the role model is me.

@gretared @caseyjohnston so yes, Grace Hopper was a great woman, but few people know about her. I believe a popular tech figure would help.

Still, there were some people who didn't quite believe him.

Grade A man-splaining. Excellent work. @caseyjohnston @tsancio

@tsancio @gretared @caseyjohnston unfortunately you can't unmeme that Tomas, because the exchange is going viral
