Naked Hillary Clinton Mural Changed To A "Depiction Of A Beautiful Muslim Woman"

The original image showed Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton in a revealing stars and stripes swimsuit.

LushSux, the artist behind huge Taylor Swift, Kim Kardashian, and Kanye West murals across Australia's east coast has had to modify his latest mural of Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton after it was labelled "offensive and near naked" by the local council.

"This is no longer a wall of a supposed 'offensive and near naked' Hillary Clinton," LushSux said in a statement.

"It is now a depiction of a beautiful Muslim woman. No reasonable person would consider this offensive. If you do consider it offensive you are a sexist, racist, Islamophobic, xenophobic, uncultured and ignorant bigot."

LushSux also said that the local council had harassed the owner of the building the Hillary mural was painted on, threatening them with removal and fines.

Council chief executive Stephen Wall told the ABC the mural was deemed offensive because it was of a "near-naked woman".

"We believe it is offensive because of the depiction of a near-naked woman, not on the basis of disrespect to Hillary Clinton, in accordance with the Graffiti Prevention Act 2007'," he said.

Clinton is not the only American presidential nominee LushSux has painted, with murals of Republican nominee Donald Trump and his wife, Melania, going up last week.

LushSux chose to censor the Clinton image himself after complaints.

"Some people found this offensive," he wrote on Instagram. "So I decided if government etc wants to censor me for 'offensive' stuff I'll just censor myself instead."
