This Girl’s Beauty Hack Means You’ll Never Ruin Your Makeup In The Shower Again

So simple and so obvious.

Lauren is currently preparing to transfer to either Texas A&M or the University of Texas, where she hopes to study to become a game developer and artist.

In early May Lauren uploaded some screenshots to her Tumblr that she had sent on Snapchat. The two pictures showed her genius technique of using goggles in the shower so she wouldn't have to redo her eye makeup.

The day after she uploaded the photos, Lauren noticed she (and her shower hack) was going viral on Tumblr.

"It literally blew up overnight," Lauren told BuzzFeed News.

"Like, the next morning after posting it I had like 5,000 notes." (Notes represent when someone likes or reblogs a post on Tumblr).

"Then the next week I had 22,000 notes, and now I have almost 100,000 on the original post."

Lauren said the reaction to her post was mostly positive, but there were a few annoying (and repetitive) remarks.

"There were a lot of comments from people thinking I was stupid like, 'wow ever heard of dry shampoo?'," she said. "Guess what, not a good idea when you have a perm."

Others were suggesting Lauren use a sink instead of a shower, meaning she wouldn't have to wear the goggles at all.

"Listen, if you think I'm gonna squeeze my fat ass head between a faucet and a drain and deny myself of a wonderful, full-body experience, you're dead wrong," she said in response.

"My hair is greasy and by the end of the day I had my makeup on and I wanted to go out with my friends, but I'd be dead before I wasted another pair of lashes and 45 minutes blending eyeshadow."

And there were a lot of questions about the red marks the goggles left on Lauren's face.

"That red line was gone by the time I finished getting dressed," she said.

"I was just sharing a funny idea, not giving a makeup lesson... [and to people asking where the goggle strap is], PLOT TWIST – no strap. I suctioned those fuckers to my face."

Lauren said only a few people had sent her the pictures knowing it was her, but more people had seen it without realising who it was.

"I've mentioned it to some of the people I was training with for my new job, and I would show them and they would be like: 'That was you?! I saw that on Tumblr!!'."
