An Australian Politician Has Been Caught Looking At A Picture Of Borat In A Mankini During Parliament

    Borat voice: Mr speaker!

An Australian politician has been caught laughing at a printed photo of comedian Sacha Baron Cohen's "Borat" character in full mankini, during a debate in parliament.

Anthony Roberts, the New South Wales Planning and Housing minister, says he was sent the photo by a friend who was commenting on how Roberts had recently lost weight. "His mate sent him that photo saying, 'This is how you will look at the beach'," a spokesperson told Fairfax.

In the footage Roberts can be seen sitting down, showing the printout to someone next to him.

Roberts was captured by cameras filming minister for the environment Gabrielle Upton, who was defending the state's decision to not ban toxic PFAS chemicals in firefighting foam.
