22 People Touching Themselves To Beat Breast Cancer

The I Touch Myself Project is inspired by the late Chrissy Amphlett. Today people all over Australia came together to raise breast cancer awareness.

1. Today marks one year since Australia lost musical icon Chrissy Amphlett.

2. In remembrance of Chrissy’s life the I Touch Myself project was formed earlier this year.

3. The campaign encourages women to touch themselves, regularly checking for irregularities.

4. Women all across Australia have gotten involved, uploading photos with the hashtag #itouchmyselfies

8. The campaign touches on Amphlett’s passion of spreading awareness around the importance of early detection of breast cancer.

12. The project is a reference to Amphlett’s song by the same name - which she intended to become an anthem for the cause.

16. I Touch Myself Project wants to encourage everyone to understand what their ‘normal’ breasts feel like and to not hesitate to seek health advice if anything changes.
