His tweet from July 14 resulted in thousands of retweets and plenty of praise. "Several other photographers have been sharing their work in a similar manner," he told BuzzFeed News.
"It's just an opportunity for us to get recognized ... I recognized it [the format] last week, saw more and more people do it and was like 'why not'?"
"I got to book new clients and see other photographers' amazing work."
In the days that followed Fairweather's tweet, plenty of other people tried it out.

Of course, the memeing of the format could mean bad news for any photographers out there genuinely trying to get attention. But we all make sacrifices in the name of art.
