Wow. I always take the top off ( and eat it), then add BBQ sauce, mix the mince and sauce together. Then I eat this delicious mixture. Last of all I eat the pastry shell.
I agree that a kebab is meat on a skewer. However, I still use the word "kebab" to describe this awesome food. So when I need to express the difference, (e.g when suggesting dinner) I say "kebab wrap". Not the most efficient, but it works for me.
I think we shouldn't share this ancient Saturday ritual with 'Merica. They'll undoubtedly screw with this fine art and turn it into a monstrous creation.
