Response to "Zero Dark Thirty" And The CIA’s Hollywood Coup:
The “torture” parts of the film were the least interesting and certainly not glorified in any sense of the word. Nor was there any glorification of the CIA. They hadalot of setbacks that were depicted in the film before they got the ultimate prize. This was not “Sands of Iwo Jima” or any other action oriented film about the military or intelligence agencies. There was almost zero acknowledgement of the role played by the Obama administration except to finally give the ok. If anything they were mildly critical because of the time delay in finally giving approval. The movie was so tense throughout I’m not even sure it could be called “entertainment”.Idon’t see how this movie could have been done any better or been more evenhanded in its treatment of events.
