Knowing how they're gonna try their best to throw red herrings here and there, and went usually the opposite of what most people expect in season 1, here are some unpopular theories so far on how season 2 will go.
1. Nope, Marilyn Thornhill / Laurel Gates won't return anymore.
It was never shown in the last episode what really happened to her, and for all we know, she might be the one who sent Wednesday the ominous text message especially since we also saw the latter's photos by the stalker hidden in her music box.
But it's also highly likely that Jenny Ortega's Wednesday really took her out for good -- or bad -- depending on which version of Wednesday you side with. It can be a nice symbolic touch of finally passing the Wednesday crown in season 1.
2. The focus on Season 2 may be Bianca's mom, specifically her Morning Song app.
Which also links back to Laurel Gates' music box.
3. Bianca might become Wednesday's new partner-in-crime-*cough*-investigation come season 2.
4. The main antagonist is in the truck that Tyler's in.
5. Xavier's dad and popular psychic, Vincent Thorpe, might actually be a hidden powerful ally.
Although he's most likely the very sus one who can easily sneak in and get Wednesday's number (since his son gave her that phone), having strong psychic powers already gives him an affinity with Wednesday. Who knows, he might be able to even help her enhance her Raven ability.
Not to mention, Pugsley is a huge fan of his.
6. The main antagonist most likely has a personal vendetta, if not on Wednesday, on Morticia.
Morticia used to be the leader of Nightshade, and it disbanded after an accident that led to the death of a non-outcast, normal person.
Or it may be connected to how Addams acquired their wealth.
7. We'll definitely get to see the Addams home in this series soon.
8. After the suspension of the chaotic semester in season 1, their classes will most likely resume online in season 2.
And we'll also get to see more of how Wednesday adapts to modern technology.
Or resist it.
