I Went To Casey And Ben's Wedding And Here's What I Did At Night

On to the fun stuff! There are SO many great bars in Baltimore. Here are Ben's favorites.

Posted on

1. Owl Bar

Main Bar / Owl Bar

Here's their website and their Yelp page.

What You Need To Know: A BEAUTIFUL speakeasy in the Belvedere Hotel in Mt. Vernon (10 minute walk from the hotels). This place has everything I love in a bar: high ceilings, tasty drinks, great food (most notably: their brick oven pizza), and it's not too loud. I love this place so much. You'd be a fool not to hang here.

2. Nacho Mama's

Main Bar / Nacho Mama's

Here's their website and their Yelp page.

What You Need To Know: It doesn't get more Baltimore than Nacho Mama's. Their hubcap margaritas are world famous (you have to order this), and their Mexican food is off the charts. It's located in Canton and is a terrific spot to get a little messy.

3. Pub Dog

2nd Floor / Pub Dog

Here's their website and their Yelp page.

What You Need To Know: LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this little hangout spot in Federal Hill (7 minute walk from the venue). I've spent hundreds of nights at this place, drinking their in-house selection of beers and eating their delicious pizzas. They have a deal where you get two mini-mugs of one of their beers for $4.50. I recommend that you try all of them.

4. Brewers Art

Cocktail and Craft Beer / Brewer's Art

Here's their website and their Yelp page.

What You Need To Know: voted as one of the best bars in the country! It's located in Mt. Vernon (10 minute walk from the hotels), and has a classy dining area with a great bar downstairs. If you like beer, try the Fin du Monde.

5. Cats Eye Pub

Bar Photo / Cat's Eye Pub

Here's their website and their Yelp page.

What You Need To Know: If you're looking for some live music in a crowded bar, this is your spot! Cat's Eye Pub is located in Historic Fells Point, which is a STUNNING area of Baltimore, so if you're not digging the vibes here, all the bars in the area are incredible.

6. Stuggy's

Crab Macaroni and Cheese Hot Dogs / Stuggy's

Here's their website and their Yelp page.

What You Need To Know: My cousin, Ryan, built this company from the ground up, and it's SO TASTY. I don't eat piggies or cows anymore, but his hot dog spot makes me wish I did. It's also located in Fells Point and is a late night spot you will regret missing.

7. Hot Tomatoes

Guy holding a cheese pizza / Hot Tomatoes

Here's their Yelp page.

What You Need To Know: This is my favorite slice of pizza on earth. I mean that. Better than anything I've had in NYC and Italy. It's located in Fells Point and it's MAGIC. Long lines are probable.
