LGBT Heroes Are Apparently Coming To Marvel, And 20Gayteen Is Still Going Strong

    It's about time!

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been banking home runs for a while now, especially recently with the release of movies such as Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War.

In fact, according to Box Office Mojo, the MCU has six movies in the franchise that have grossed more than a billion dollars worldwide. One of them, Infinity War, has even crossed the two billion dollar mark.

But one thing missing from the movies so far has been LGBT representation. The closest we got was in Thor: Ragnarok, where Tessa Thompson confirmed that her character, Valkyrie, was bisexual.

In fact, a scene confirming Valkyrie's bisexuality was cut from the movie, with Tessa telling Rolling Stone: "There were things that we talked about that we allowed to exist in the characterisation, but maybe not be explicit in the film."

But according to the Playlist this is all about to change. Apparently when asked if a LGBT hero was in the works, Kevin Feige, president of Marvel, simply replied: "Yes."

When pushed for a little more information, Kevin then revealed that the introduction of LGBT representation will come in the form of "both [characters] you’ve seen and ones you haven’t seen".

It's not much to go on for now, but it's exciting all the same. I, for one, will be first in line for a ticket.
