Jennifer Lawrence Revealed How She Felt After Filming Nude Scenes For "Red Sparrow"

    "I still feel empowered."

Chances are that you've probably seen Jennifer Lawrence in at least one movie. But in her new project, Red Sparrow, Jen is taking on her darkest role to date.

Speaking to Sunrise about shooting nude scenes for the film, Jennifer described it as "that nightmare that you have" of standing up in front of the class naked, something she literally had to do in one of the scenes.

Discussing her decision to become a part of the cast, Jennifer said that she'd anticipated the nude scenes. "I had to really think about it before I even said yes to the movie."

"I couldn't say yes ... and then be like 'can we not use those scenes'. The only way to do the movie is if I'm willing to push myself as far as my character is forced to go."

But how did Jennifer feel when the scenes were finished? "I actually left feeling empowered. I still feel empowered."

Going on to speak about the #MeToo movement, Jennifer said, "We're kinda in a watershed moment right now where we have to reshape the way the world looks at us and the way that we're treated by the world."

"We wanna be paid equally for the same amount of work, and that's not just in Hollywood, that's in all fields across the globe."
