Charli D'Amelio came to the defence of fellow TikTok star Kouvr Annon after she was body-shamed on social media.
Responding to a clip posted on the app, which showed various pictures of Kouvr and had amassed more than 1.7 million views before it was deleted, Charli called out the creator and labelled the video "disrespectful".
"This is so incredibly rude," Charli said in a comment. "Kouvr is one of the most kind-hearted people I know and she does not deserve this at all."
Later taking to Twitter, Charli called for an end to body-shaming, adding: "It's not cool, it's not funny and it's not a joke. It's disgusting and disrespectful."
"I can't understand why some people think it's okay to talk about someone's looks, weight, sexual identity, etc in a negative way," the 16-year-old continued.

"It's not that hard to be kind," she finished. "Words hurt no matter who you are."
Kouvr, who is a member of the TikTok Hype House, also responded to the video, writing: "Instead of bringing others down for the way that they look how about we focus on bigger issues in the world."
In a statement on Twitter, Kouvr added that she'd "struggled" with her body image for a long time before encouraging people to be more mindful of their words.
"It is never okay and it will never be okay to tear people down," she said. "People struggle every day with loving themselves and when you tear people down it's so much deeper than that comment."
