People Are Tweeting About How Broke They Feel After Listening To Ariana Grande's New Song And I Can Honestly Relate

"Ariana really just told us all we’re broke AND depressed..."

So, in case you didn't already know, Ariana Grande, also known as the queen of absolutely everything, has just released a new song alongside an already iconic music video.

    Republic

In "7 Rings" Ariana is bold and self-assured, proving once again why she's at the top of her game. The song, named after the seven matching engagement rings Ariana bought for her best friends, is a confident account of being able to afford everything you want in life and not being ashamed to admit that you're the shit.

It comes after the success of breakup anthem "Thank U, Next", which reigned over the charts and left a bunch of world records shattered in its wake, and the release of vocal acrobatic ballad "Imagine", both of which will appear on Ariana's upcoming album.

However, there's just one problem — everybody now feels broke AF.

Me listening to Ariana call me a broke bitch for 3 minutes #7rings

me listening to #7Rings knowing ariana is calling me out for being poor

Ariana really just told us all we’re broke AND depressed to the tune of “My Favorite Things” #7rings

Obviously that's not stopping people from pretending they can relate though.

me listening to #7Rings and singing “I got my receipts, be lookin' like phone numbers” like I don’t have a grand total of $6.47 in my savings account

Ariana: "I see it , I want it.." me with 5$ on my bank account: "I GOT IT" #7Rings

listening to 7 rings while having $13.67 in my bank account #7Rings

But it's fair to say that people's bank accounts are truly shook right now.

me listening to #7Rings even though i barely have enough money in my account to buy an iced coffee:

Me checking my bank account after watching #7rings

As much as I want to relate, it's just not in my stars.

Me: singing along to #7Rings My bank acc:

#7Rings ArianaGrande: "whoever said money can't solve your problems, must not have enough money to solve 'em." Everyone with 0 dollars in your bank account

Some people have taken the "Broke? I don't know her" approach though, which is admirable.

And of course, people aren't just reacting to feeling poor — memes have already begun to spring up around Twitter.
