This Canadian Fair Had Some Of The Most Outrageous Foods We've Ever Seen, Here Are 15 That We Tried

The CNE (Canadian National Exhibition) is back in Toronto! So we made our way to the fair grounds to test out all the latest outrageous food creations.

From the good to the weird to the questionable, let us know if you'd try the fair foods below 👇

1. Dill Pickle Cotton Candy from Candy Time

Isabella: In the words of her majesty Snooki, "pickles is my thing". I hate to say it, but this was waaayyy better than I thought it'd be. A fun treat if you like dill. 

2. TOT-Silog from Get Your Own Taters

Liza: Hands down, this was one of our FAVOURITE dishes of the whole day. Wonderfully crisp tater tots topped with the Filipino flavours of longanisa (a sweet sausage), a fried egg, spicy mayo, papaya slaw, and green onions. Can we have seconds please? Salamat! (That's "thank you" in Filipino)

3. Pickle Fries from Mister Vegetable

Isabella: Okay these look very Shrek 2 but the dill was subtle and perfect. These are for the girls who put dill seasoning on their popcorn (aka me). 

4. Deep Fried Pizza Topped With Hot Honey Sauce, Pickles, Creamy Garlic Sauce and Doritos from Pizza Pizza

Liza: Yes, this combination looks chaotic (to say the least!) but trust me, it's delicious! The pickles add a nice crunch. The garlic sauce adds an indulgent creamy flavour. And the deep fried pizza is the perfect vessel to bring it all together.

5. Cookie Stuffed Chimney Cone from Eva's Original Chimneys

Isabella: Well, Miss Eva's Original Chimneys... girl you have done it again, constantly raising the bar for us all and doing it all flawlessly. Huge bonus points for having oat soft serve as an option for those of us who forgot their Lactaid at home.

6. Butter Tart Funnel Cake from the Midway

Liza: A classic carnival dish with a Canadian twist! This funnel cake is topped with pecans, icing sugar, and maple leaf sprinkles. If you have a big sweet tooth, this is for you. 

7. Fruity Pebble Deep Fried Cheese Curds from The King of Curds

Isabella: Yoooooo. IDK what it says about ME that I loved these... but, I loved these. IS THAT CRAZY? I love a sweet and salty, and this did it for me.

Liza: Um yes, you read that right.... A 4 POUND TACO! Is that even legal? Wait till you see this thing in real life, it's heavier (and bigger) than it looks.

Liza: Cheese and Doritos lovers REJOICE... this snack was made just for you. Deep-fried cheese on a stick served with Doritos— get ready for some picture-perfect cheese pulls.

Isabella: No, because I'm officially a FOOTLONG FREAK myself after this fry experience. Docking 1 point because I do not have a summer lover to eat these with Lady and the Tramp style.

11. Holy Moly Cannoli from San Francesco's

Isabella: Attenzione!!!! Italians avert your eyes because this cannoli would give Nonna a heart attack. There's provolone cheese and a veal cUTLeT IN THERE!!!! And the shell is cinnamon?? IDK about this one ya'll.

Isabella: This drink from Fuwa Fuwa is IT! Not only is it super refreshing, but it's also so fun to walk around with this resealable pouch à la our Kool Aid Jammer days. 

13. Korean Fried Frog Legs from Farm to Fryer

Isabella: Anything that tastes like Korean Fried Chicken is like, A+ in my books. I just don't think I'd necessarily eat frog legs and then go ride the Scrambler though. But then again, this is coming from the girl who liked the cereal cheese curds.

Liza: No, your eyes aren't playing any tricks on you. That is indeed a slab of feta and a burger sandwiched between two watermelon pieces. TBH we were kind of speechless!

15. Malibu Mac & Cheese from Eat My Bowls

Liza: C'mon Barbie let's go party and try this mac and cheese! This savoury pink champagne mac and cheese is topped with a dollop of caviar. Our taste buds were a bit confused but sometimes you have to do it for the IG you know?
