Bevel is a Black-founded business!
Promising review: "As an African American man, I've always been more susceptible to razor bumps and ingrown hairs due to curlier hair. Gillette was my go-to for shaving, because it did better with sensitive skin and was good for shaving quickly. However, of course Gillette is more of a one-size-fits-all razor brand and doesn't account for some of the nuances some men have to deal with when shaving. I looked for a razor blade that would assist in minimizing razor bumps and ingrown hairs, and that's where Bevel comes in. Firstly, I'm very happy to support a Black-owned brand that addresses some of the unique grooming issues of Black men, so cheers to that! Secondly, because I was switching from a Gillette razor, there was a bit of a learning curve in terms of shaving technique and how long the shaving process took. I definitely cut up my chin and jawline the first few times using this razor. However, as I continued to use it more and adjusted to the various holding angles for the different parts of my face, the shave got much easier and the results are noticeable (after about 8 months of use). The shave is much closer, so my face is much smoother. Initially when using this razor, I did get a couple of razor bumps, but now that I'm accustomed, I get none! The shave lasts about two days longer than when I use a Gillette razor, and the razor and blades are very finely weighted and crafted, so once you understand the different angles you can maneuver around your face with ease." —Shawn
