Promising review: "Even though there is such a huge market for infused and flavored spirits, there isn't a single one out there that actually tastes good enough to call it an infusion. The best kinds of cocktails are ones that are homemade with your own ingredients and skills. This kit is perfect for just that. It has everything you need to make it happen. I've made some infusions myself that taste amazing but I always had to try and look around for some equipment that would work. Having everyone in one kit makes life easier. What an awesome idea!" —Jonathan Weisenbeck

13. Photosynthesis — a beautiful strategy game for the game-lover who needs to ~branch~ out.
Basically you're growing trees. Each player starts with two. The trees absorb light and get light points, which can be used to disperse seeds. There is a "sun" rotating around the board, so players have to time and position everything properly to get the most sunlight.
Promising review: "Don't be fooled by the beautiful artwork, or the adorable little illustrated animals hidden within the components, Photosynthesis is a vicious abstract strategy game, and it's probably the best use of thematic gameplay for any tabletop game in 2017, worthy of being equated with other top tier uses of theme in designing gameplay, such as Shadows Over Camelot, Blood Rage, and just about anything produced by Fantasy Flights." —Paul Bulger

There are three rounds: First the player can explain it (like in Taboo), then the player can use one word, and then the player can only act it out (like Charades). It's a great game to play when you know your teammates and how they think.

22. An unfairly adorable instant camera from Kodak that prints out photos with adhesive backs. Instant stickers of all their friends? You should snap one up for everyone on your list.

I've never wanted an instant camera until seeing this one. It's too cute not to want!
Promising review: "If your expectations are realistic for this reasonably priced item, you will be happy. $70 (+$0.50/photo paper sheet) is, in my book, reasonable for a camera/printer in one, considering that there is never a need to purchase toner, and there is the option for a Mini SD/ability to save digitally. I think the manufacturer photos/videos are realistic, they make no claims to great photo quality — the best thing about this camera is the fun, instant factor. The photo quality will seem subpar, in comparison to the excellent cameras we are all used to now on our smartphones, but in good lighting (especially outdoors), the color/picture is good." —msrei

26. A shot glass mold for frosty ice shots that go down easier OR for candy shots the whole family can enjoy.
Very seriously considering getting this so I can make some peppermint shots to fill with Bailey's this Christmas.
Promising review: "I bought this mold to make shot glasses out of hard candy (I used Jolly Ranchers). It works really well for that...and chocolate...and jello...and gummy bears. It's a lot of fun. I would definitely make a first batch before depending on it for guests on the first run. The instructions on the package don't specifically say that you can put this mold in the oven (though the amazon description does), but I have not had any issues with putting them in the oven at all. For my hard candy shot glasses, I just preheated the oven to 350 degrees, filled the mold with candies and put them in for about 11 minutes. After I took them out, I just used the back of a spoon to work the air bubbles out toward the edges so that everything came out smooth. Chocolate is much easier to melt and get the air bubbles out and wouldn't even require the oven (though I'll bet you could)." —Holly C.
