Hello, fellow Nintendo Switch owner! Finished with Animal Crossing: New Horizons and looking for the next time suck? Well, have a got a game for you.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, aka the greatest video game ever created in the history of Nintendo, is now on sale for only $39.99! The game normally goes for about $60 so this is a rare score.

Let me explain why you'll want — no, NEED — this game.

    Teeny-tiny baby spoilers ahead.

First of all, it's great for all ages and ability levels.

While there are some seriously tough monsters and bosses to fight, you don't have to go toe to toe with them until you're ready. Seriously, I spent the first quarter of the game running for my life. You can stealthily move through the game and collect armor, weapons, abilities, and stat-boosting meals to help you power up. The game makes a good chunk of combat completely optional thanks to mechanics that let you sneak, steal, and deal stealth blows to unsuspecting foes.

It's a true open world game.

You see that mountain in the distance? You can climb it! That giant waterfall? Fly right through and find a secret cave behind it! An island waaaaay out in the ocean? Where there's a will, there's a way! This game is all abut exploration, and there's tons of secrets and surprises to stumble upon.

The gorgeous scenery might help scratch your wanderlust itch.

The peaceful piano music, the long horse rides, the MOUNTAINTOP VISTAS! Sometimes I would just climb to the top of something, look out at the view, and chill for a minute. It can be super relaxing. If you don't believe me, consider this: When Zelda creator Shigeru Miyamoto was shown the prototype, he spent a ton of time just climbing trees. If one small feature can be that entertaining, imagine how much time you could sink into this game! (I refuse to tell you how many hours I personally invested, but it's deep in the three figures.)

The cut scenes are really fun and give great backstory.

I refuse to spoil any information on this front, but I will say you have to work for them! The scenes are really satisfying when you know you had to go on a quest to activate them.

    And it's just really...funny sometimes?

It has poignant moments, but at its heart, it's still a Zelda game that knows how to have fun. Example: A big side quest is collecting seeds that turn out to be...poop!

OK, I'm done talking your ear off about my favorite game! Buy it on sale from Amazon for $39.99 for Nintendo Switch or $52 for Nintendo Wii U.
