Promising review: "We bought this backpack for our Yosemite/Mammoth hiking trip with the dogs. Here are the highlights: It's really well-made. It's comfortable to wear – even lugging around a furry rascal. I love the water bottle pockets on the side and the laptop pocket inside. Our 13 lb Chihuahua fits in it perfectly and loves looking out the flap. The Chihuahua is just as happy being fully zipped in when transporting him." –Zazzie Perez

Get it from Amazon for $134.99 (available in two colors).

    2. A Paw Plunger paw cleaner for your pet's dirty paws — and, inadvertently, your floors. The handy little mug is filled with soft bristles to easily clean your pup's footpads. Simply fill with a little bit of water, plunge, and ogle over just how well it works.

Promising review: "We have a Goldendoodle with curly hair and large paws, and a brand-new yard on the coast that is 95% sand. Our new veterinarian, upon hearing me whine about the situation, recommended I buy this product because she uses it with her own dogs. From the first time I used it, I was sold! It looks like one of those oversized water jugs you can get at a convenience store, with a fitted insert for paws and legs. I stuck my hand (and my kids') inside to try it out and the bristles inside are very soft, and will not hurt sensitive paw pads. I wish I'd found this years ago; it would have saved my sanity and my floors many times over. I've already recommended it to my friends and family with dogs who understand the struggle." —Heather

Get it from Amazon for $19.99+ (available in three sizes and four colors).

    3. A red life jacket that will help your dog float during water adventures. It's versatile, too, as the flotation layer can be removed and the liner can serve as a raincoat for your pup.

Promising review: "My dogs love these vests. They know to come to us to get them on. Most importantly, the vest lets my 15-year-old Lab swim longer. He refuses to come in and the handle on the vest makes it easy to grab him." –Kindle Customer

Get it from Amazon for $45.95 (available in five sizes).

    4. A pack of Greenies dental treats so you don't have to take so many trips to the doggy dentist. These tasty, toothbrush-shaped treats are designed to remove plaque and freshen breath so that dog owners don't have to brush their pet's teeth as often.

Promising review: "These were recommended to us for our dogs to help with oral health and tartar buildup. We haven’t been back to the vet since she recommended these so I cannot speak to how effective they are for tartar buildup but one of our dogs has terrible breath. When I started giving these to my dogs regularly, her breath improved. When I forget to give these to them a few days in a row, her breath smells horrible again. So I definitely recommend these for dogs with bad breath." –Megan Soileau

Get it from Amazon for $33.29 (or Subscribe & Save for $31.63/month; available in seven varieties).

    5. A Petmate two-door pet crate that'll give you the option of placing your pet in their home from the front or top. Promising review: "I was having a hard time finding something I liked, was a decent price and big enough but not too big. I was skeptical about ordering this, afraid it may be too small or end up with the wrong bolts as many reviews stated but everything worked out great. (Make sure to order it from Amazon as the seller and I think that takes care of the bolt issue some were having.) He's never had a crate before but surprisingly seems to like it. I have it left out for him to come and go as he pleases so when its time to shut him in maybe it won't be so traumatic (he has a very hard time traveling). I love that the top opens up as I know that tends to be easier to use when they are a bit panicked (like at the vet). He's 7 years old and set in his ways so I'm glad to see he's taken a liking to it." –Ashley

Get it from Amason for $43.24 (available in two sizes and four colors).

    6. A de-shedding brush to remove any loose or shedding hair from your pet's coat. This top-rated tool collects loose hair without snagging strands or disrupting your pet's skin, and, thanks to a little button on the head of the device, it easily ejects everything it collects, making for super streamlined cleanup.

    amazon.com

Promising review: "Amazing! I’ve been on the fence about buying this brush because I thought it was expensive compared to other dog brushes. It’s totally worth the price and I wish I’d bought it years ago! My dog is a shepherd mix and she sheds year round, but it is particularly bad in the spring when she sheds her winter coat. I’ve been struggling with brushing her for 20+ minutes daily and never getting all of the loose undercoat out. She would still have little tufts of white hair sticking out all over. After using the FURminator one time for about five minutes, all of the loose tufts are gone! Her coat looks nice and shiny. I’m sure we will have to keep brushing as she continues to shed more of her winter coat, but I will do it happily with the FURminator!" –Chelsea

Get it from Amazon for $33.95 (available in three sizes and four styles).

    7. An automatic litter box so you don't have to incessantly worry about scooping after your cat uses the bathroom. The automatic design features odor-absorbing crystals and it rakes waste into a covered trap that can wait to be changed — as in, it won't smell up your whole house in the process. Best of all, a pre-portioned tray lasts up to 30 days.

Promising review: "The crystals work so well, I didn't think they were using the box, I thought they were just going in and out. I had to witness them using it to believe it. No smell at all!! I will be buying another down the road." –Gloria Silvers

Get it from Amazon for $169.95 (Available in three styles and colors).

    8. A seemingly-magical waterless pet spray that uses natural ingredients to help decrease shedding between baths. What's more, the top-rated spray enhances skin health and will make your pup's coat look silkier than ever.

    Amazon, amazon.com

Promising review: "This spray is wonderful! I am fostering a puppy who has mange and needs to be bathed every other day. This spray keeps his skin from flaking, less shedding, and gives him such a shiny coat! I’m buying more to bring to my local shelter where I bathe many dogs with dry skin!" –B. Carr

Get it from Amazon for $3.64.

    9. A booster seat for your small pet so they can see out the window whenever you take them on a ride. It comes with three stabilizing attachments, so in addition to giving them the best view, it keeps them safe, too.

    amazon.com

Promising review: "The BEST traveler for my dog! She loves it :). It goes on the front or back seat and she can see outside. I put a sweater in the bottom so it's nice and snuggly for her. We drove from Michigan to Florida and she stayed in it the whole ride (except when we stopped of course for breaks). People love to see her in it too — kids wave to her and adults smile. She gets a lot of attention! Lol." –C.S. Green

Get it from Amazon for $36.11 (available in three colors and sizes).

    10. An interactive cat toy to encourage your fur baby to work for their food (in a fun way, of course). The toy is designed to hold food and treats on three levels that your cat can put their paw into to push it to the bowl at the bottom. In other words, it's an entertaining food toy, not a mean way to make them work to eat.

Promising review: "It did not take my cat long at all to figure out how to get her food! This is an amazing addition to my cats 'environmental enrichment' endeavor. She was grumpy at first just sitting staring at the feeder but soon figured out she needed to do something to get at that food. At first, she used a lot of claw snagging the holes inside the levels and tipping the feeder over so I had to place one side of the base under the edge of a cart so she could not pull it over but now she does not need it anchored as she rarely snags it with her claws anymore. I love watching her determine which level she needs to work at to get the food to drop, nice little puzzle that makes her have to think a bit. The feeder was easy to assemble and easy to disassemble for cleaning. The only thing that would make this 100% awesome is if the base were weighted so it did not tip if she snagged a hole but other than that I am completely satisfied with this purchase!" –Diane Morrow

Get it from Amazon for $19.99.

    11. A travel pet food container so you're always prepared to feed your fur baby if they get hungry. The air-tight dry food container is especially useful on camping trips and long car rides, as it features not only a container to hold the food but two detachable bowls to actually serve kibble and water.

Dog Food carrier with two detachable bowls
    Amazon

Promising review: "I am very satisfied with the purchase. It features a very snug fit, so I don't think any moisture will seep inside. It holds as much, if not more than, advertised. The bowls are slippery/slick inside for easy cleaning and are about two inches deep, so they hold a lot of food. The container is easily carried with two different carrying options, the handle which latches to the bowls or the black container lid." –Anonymously

Get it from Amazon for $7.75.

    12. A Snuggle Puppy behavioral aid toy to comfort your fur baby when they're scared. It's made with a heating pad and a life-like heartbeat to make them never feel alone. Oh, and did we mention that it's super soft? Yup, they'll love it.

Promising review: "My pup was separated from her mother way too early and has separation anxiety. I opened this as soon as I got it and she instantaneously passed out on top of it. I already know it was a good purchase." —ashmeg84

Get it from Amazon for $39.95 (available in five colors).

    13. A super-soft, donut-shaped bed for your pupper. The high sides and low center make it feel like they're being cuddled from all angles, so even if you're not home, they can be cozy as can be.

    amazon.com

Promising review: "Our 11-pound Chihuahua, Lucy, absolutely loves this bed! It took her a few minutes to get used to this new thing in her life, after we first introduced her to it, and now she practically lives in it!" –katydid26

Get it from Amazon for $34.95 (available in five sizes and two colors).

    14. A tailored seat belt to keep your pupper safe while riding in the car without limiting their ability to sit, lay, and look out the window. The comfortable design hooks into your car's seatbelts so it's easy to add into your travel pet routine.

    amazon.com

Promising review: "We purchased these in order to drive our two dogs from Missouri to Florida. I was extremely nervous about this trip because prior to this, they had only been in the car about up to 20 minutes at a time. I was concerned that they would jump out of the car at a rest stop or get on each other's nerves. They are usually crazy and falling all over the car. We rented a Nissan Pathfinder, and this product fit perfectly into the seat belts. The dogs had an amazing time. It seemed like they felt safer being buckled up because they were very calm during the 1,030-mile, three-day drive. We used an old comforter to protect the seats from dog hair and scratches and tears; we cut holes for the seat belts, and we positioned a cooler between them, so they would not bother each other. I will use this every time I put them in the car from now on. I highly recommend this to dog owners." –Michael D. Williams

Get a two-pack from Amazon for $9.99 (available in six colors).

    15. A pet ramp that will feel like a godsend for pets who have trouble getting in the car and insist on trying to do so themselves. This adjustable, 13-pound ramp can withstand up to 400 pounds, so it's great for animals of all sizes.

Promising review: "This ramp is perfect for our 80-pound golden retriever with a sore leg. We're trying to minimize the jumps down from my SUV. The ramp is easy to use, lightweight, and extends plenty enough for the rear or side of my vehicle. I read a review that felt the grit surface was dangerous for dog's paws, so I got a roll of kitchen cabinet non-skid liner, some spray adhesive, and put down a layer on both sections. It works perfectly." –Amazon Customer

Get it from Amazon for $99.95.

    16. An arched grooming brush so your cat can brush its own fur whenever they want. Whether they hate being brushed or simply always like to be scratched, this best-selling self-groomer will come in handy.

    amazon.com

Promising review: "My cat was in love the minute I put this together and started hugging and wrestling it. He has been rubbing his face on it so much it has deformed his fur and he looks utterly ridiculous! He literally drools on it while rubbing on it — I’m not sure if that was intended but this was absolutely worth it- and I didn’t even bother with the catnip." –Meghan

Get it from Amazon for $18.99.

    17. A maze-like bowl to help teach your dog not to eat quite so quickly. The indented feeder is said to slow down consumption by up to 10 times which can be super beneficial for your pup's belly and overall digestion.

Three colorful dog bowls on the floor
    amazon.com

Promising review: "These dog bowls are amazing! This version has larger spaces so it's easier for my dog to get the food than in the spiral and the flower shape one but for a dog with a large snout or big tongue, this is still effective. My smaller dog (45 pounds) doesn't get much of a challenge with this shape, but the larger one does. My dogs had gotten into a competitive eating thing all of a sudden and the younger (4-year-old), much bigger one (an 80-pound ridgeback) started eating so fast she vomited every meal. I bought these to force her to slow down. I got three different shapes so I could switch them out to keep eating a challenge which is good mental stimulation for dogs. This completely solved the eating-too-fast problem. Both dogs adapted easily to using them. These were well worth the money. These bowls do make them drool more when eating but I just throw them in the dishwasher regularly and that takes care of the cleaning." –Rachel

Get it from Amazon for $11.99 (available in three sizes and six colors).

    18. An anxiety jacket that's basically a weighted blanket for your dog. The soothing jacket is designed to apply constant gentle pressure, which, like a weighted blanket, calms the nervous system, and alleviates stress and anxiety. This, of course, makes it great for pups who are afraid of thunderstorms and the vet, as well as those who struggle with separation anxiety.

    amazon.com

Promising review: "I’m a little weirded-out by how well this works. I bought it knowing I’d probably send it back. My Schnauzer destroys my house when I leave and I don’t want him to spend his life in a crate. I bought this as a last-ditch before having him medicated to keep him from freaking out when we leave. It works 100%. We’ve had it for about three to four weeks and tested it. If we leave and he’s wearing it he won’t touch ANYTHING. He’s very calm and collected. If he’s not wearing it he is antsy and we come home to DVDs destroyed, picture frames tore apart, his toys gutted and piled in the middle of the room, and hats chewed beyond saving. I’d recommend this to anyone with an anxious dog." –Amazon Customer

Get it from Amazon for $44.95+ (available in seven sizes and two colors).

    19. A medicated dog shampoo to pamper your pup's fur as much as you do your own hair. The best-selling colloidal oatmeal formula is designed to treat fungal and bacterial infections and soothe skin as a whole. In other words, it will make your pupper feel their best. What more could you want?

Promising review: "This stuff is a lifesaver! I cannot recommend this shampoo enough! One of our dogs (black Labrador) somehow contracted sarcoptic mange mites. Nothing else we had tried worked. We tried lime sulfur dips, a variety of other medicated shampoos, and our vet even had us try three rounds of Revolution to kill off the mites, but nothing was helping this poor dog and he continued to scratch, chew, and lick himself raw. He was missing fur on his face, head, ears, chest, sides, belly, feet, and legs. He both looked and smelled terrible and he was downright miserable. We finally came across this shampoo while desperately searching for something else to try and give him some relief. We started washing him every other day with this stuff, leaving it on him for 10 to15 minutes before rinsing, just as the bottle instructs, and he started improving more and more with each bath. We have now been consistently using this shampoo every other day for six weeks and we will continue to use it until all of his symptoms are 100% gone and all of his hair has grown back in. A lot of it already has grown back, with the exception of his back legs any elbows, but we expect those areas to take longer since they were in the worst shape. " –Matthew and Johanna Athas

    20. A bottle of stain lifter so your floor isn't perpetually discolored due to your pet's accidents. In addition to expertly lifting stains, this popular spray eliminates odor and works well on all floor surfaces.

    amazon.com

Promising review: "I'm still in the process of potty training my 4-month-old corgi puppy. I have peace of mind knowing that this will remove odor both for me and Pepper so she won't be encouraged to go in the house as much. My mom tried to get the regular Nature's Miracle (the one in the white bottle) and I thought it smelled horrible! I made her return that one and I got this one instead — it has a very clean scent that I love. Plus this one is more powerful anyway since it's for severe messes. And it works on more than just pee and poop: vomit, bile, pretty much any bodily fluid. This is a great product to have around the house if you own a pet, especially a baby." –Jenna G.

Get it from Amazon for $8.49.

    21. A candle designed specifically for pet owners who wish their home didn't smell quite so... well, like animals lived in it. These candles are designed to not just mask pet odors, but eliminate them in the air. Thankfully, it comes in about a bajillion scents.

    The candle
    Amazon

Promising review: "These candles are fantastic! They smell great and do a great job of eliminating any odors in your house, not only those from pets. They do work best if you burn them for one to two hours at a time but will get rid of the smells of wet dog, fecal smells, urine odors, and I’ve even found them useful for cooking odors. I’ve had three candles now (the first arrived shattered, and was replaced; the next three arrived in perfect condition). I highly recommend these candles. I purchased the Vanilla Creme Brûlée scent. I often get headaches from powerful scents, but have never gotten one from these lovely candles!" –Heather

Get it from Amazon for $21.95 (available in 24 scents).

    22. A cooling dog vest to keep your pup nice and cool in warm weather. All you have to do is soak the vest in cold water, secure it to their back, and let them bask in the cool sensations that occur as a result.

Promising review: "I'm a very new dog owner of a beautiful Australian shepherd, and I was a little worried when I noticed his paws were very rough. I took action and starting doing some research and it's common in dogs of all sizes however not something to let be. Paws are so essential to dogs just as our feet are to us, so I'm very pleased with this product. It was SUPER easy to apply, 0 scent, and my dog loves when it's time to apply... (I think he knows that means we're going outside). Thanks Mushers! It's a great product." –Juniper

    amazon.com

Promising review: "I have worked in a veterinary clinic and have seen how gross a dog's teeth can get when there is no or little dental care. I have been using this faithfully for the last three years since my dog's last dental cleaning. He is now 11 years old and between this water additive used daily and scaling his teeth with the scaler approximately once a year, he has been spared additional dental cleanings and anesthesia. I must say his teeth look great and his gum line is nice and pink." –Ringo Starr

After your pet has an accident, all you need to do is open up the packet, place the pad on the accident spot, and then step on the pad to release the magic formula. Leave it there for at least a half an hour or up to 24 hours. Why the discrepancy, you might be asking? Because these pads work on DRIED STAINS. Holla!!!! Promising review: "Since I adopted my cat, I have never had a full, uninterrupted night of sleep. My cat, Mrs. Doubtfire, insists on being fed at 3 a.m. Also, I live in a 250 square-foot studio apartment, so it's not like I could kick her out of my 'bedroom.' My highest priority in looking for an automatic feeder was size, and it was hard to find a feeder that could fit in the limited space I had available. Luckily, I found the PETKIT Mini. This was the smallest sized feeder I could find — both smart and nonsmart. I wasn't particularly looking for WiFi capability, but I have to say: the novelty of feeding my cat from my phone has not yet worn off. Wi-Fi setup and scheduling through the app is painless. The feeder dispenses the correct amounts and sends a notification when food is low. Feedings occur as scheduled, even with the internet offline and on battery power only." –NPar
