9 Unusual Luxuries From Desert Island Discs

Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs has asked over 1,500 castaways what they would take to a mythical desert island.

As well as eight music tracks, the Bible, the complete works of Shakespeare and a book of their choice, castaways are also given the option of a luxury to while away their days.

Here are some of the most unusual luxuries in the programmes 71 year history.
