Attention, pet lovers: We've got some news to bark about.

Banfield Pet Hospital, the nation's leading provider of preventive veterinary care, is launching a brand-new internship experience.

Those enrolled in the NextVet internship will learn firsthand from Banfield's very own hospital teams, as well as industry experts and practice leaders.

The NextVet internship is a paid opportunity that provides animal-loving students age 16+ with a one-of-a-kind, immersive veterinary experience.

The internship will run from 6 to 10 weeks during the summer of 2022 in Atlanta, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, Pittsburgh, Phoenix, Portland-Vancouver, and Washington, DC. 

NextVet interns will also snag a behind-the-scenes look into a Banfield hospital, shadowing veterinarians and vet technicians alike.

Plus, NextVet participants will get to explore myriad sectors of the veterinary industry through small, virtual group sessions.

These educational group sessions will offer insight into peripheral veterinary roles such as research and shelter medicine.
