I give at least one copy of The Great Gatsby out at every holiday season. It’s not only a classic, but it’s a novella and a fast read. The story is always poignant and relevant - it’s hard not to find something to relate to.

Once while drunk and under the influence of cannabis, my friend took me to Wal Mart and I bought a flask, a family sized bag of Cheeto Puffs, and the first season of Gossip Girl on DVD. Munchies and teen drama, the perfect combination.

The Spectacular Now. Amy is too flighty in the novel, and Sutter is played so well by Miles Teller in the film that he adds to the character. The film also just ties up the ending much better.

My middle school health teacher, who didn't like me and made it very clear, once singled me put and made me read out loud to the class about chlamydia. She didn't make a single other person read that day. Just me.
