Can We Guess Your Favorite ”Star Wars” Film From Your Age?
You’ve been there since the very beginning. You’ve been a Star Wars fan through the highest highs and through the lowest of its lows. You probably still fondly remember the enthusiasm surrounding the release of the original trilogy, especially A New Hope, which makes it stand out in your mind.
You came of age with the Star Wars franchise. There’s almost never been a time in your life where there wasn’t some new piece of the epic series being released, but you still have a deep fondness for the originals, especially the incredible Empire Strikes Back. You probably saw at least one of the original films in theaters, you were there for the releases, you were disappointed by the prequels, and maybe you even helped usher in the next generation of fans by showing them the Clone Wars or Rebels TV shows.
You were at the tail end of the first generation of Star Wars fans, and you count yourself among their ranks. Maybe you have some vague memories of seeing Empire or Jedi in theaters, or maybe you were part of the robust Star Wars culture of the 80s and the resurgence in the 90s. Either way, you’re a fan of the classics - chief among them The Empire Strikes Back.
You came of age in the era of special editions and rereleases, so you’ve got a lot of love for the original trilogy. You were old enough to see the prequel trilogy films in theaters, but the original films will always come first in your heart, and the nostalgia felt for Return of the Jedi makes it a favorite for your generation.
You were a kid the prequel trilogy was released. Maybe it’s the first exposure you had to the series, but maybe your parents were responsible enough to show you the original series before letting you watch the prequel trilogy. Either way, you probably found your way to A New Hope eventually, and fell in love with the film just like the generation before you did.
You’re a second generation Star Wars fan. By the time you got to the series, the original trilogy had just been rereleased in its entirely with tons of updated effects and scenes. Sure, the prequels were going strong, but so was the bad press those films were receiving at the time, so you’ve definitely got an appreciation for the originals, especially A New Hope.
The world you grew up in has been dominated by Star Wars. The original trilogy still looms large in the background of our culture, but most of your exposure has been to the prequel trilogy, or maybe even the TV shows. The older movies are great, but you’ve got a particular fondness for the newer trilogy, especially Revenge of the Sith.
As one of the newest Star Wars fans, the series means something else to you. You’re growing up in a world that thinks about Star Wars as a series of TV shows rather than a film franchise. Most of your fondest memories of Star Wars are for the long-running Clone Wars TV show.
