Sure, her dancing has improved and pulling in the biggest reality show judging pay cheque to date is nothing to scoff at. But Ms Spears has only won 1 (ONE!) Grammy in her entire career, is the poster child for lip syncing and can we all just remember 2007? (Hint: shaved head)

Why the throne ain't hers

Mother Monster has a wonderful voice. Plus, she manages to hold her own amongst some of the most chiselled and flexible gay male dancers. But Beyonce does all that, minus the crazy costumes.

3. P!nk

Why she's not Queen

P!nk got the party started in 2001...and then kind of hung out by the spiked punch for the rest of the party. In the last few years, she's shown that besides controversial songs she can also perform ballads and crazy acrobatic tricks. She's great....she's just not Queen.

4. Katy Perry

Why she's not worthy

The songs are catchy and the singing doesn't particularly suck. But the outfits are basically kitschy porn costumes and have we seen her dance? No, actually, besides a coordinated step touch, has the woman ever danced? Dancing skills are mandatory for Queen-ship.

5. Shakira

Why we won't be hearing coronation bells

Her hips don't lie - it's true. But can we name more than 2 songs by the woman? 3 if you're a die-hard fan. Plus, she's been MIA on the music scene for last few years, having an adorable baby and all. But Queen Bey managed to have an adorable baby and make divine music.

6. Taylor Swift

Why she's not royal material

The country darling has a perfectly lovely voice...that we get to hear set to the exact same tune as she sings her diary out loud. And yes, she's only 24 years old. But by the time Beyonce was 24, she had put out 4 albums (3 with DC, 1 solo) and starred in a few movies. Also, T. Swift's lack of dance skills (besides her award show chair dancing)

7. Rihanna

Why she's no Queen

Solid vocals, catchy beats and fairly sexy movement (not sure if we can call it dancing). But Ri Ri has made some questionable choices and not even her best songs are at Queen standard.

So, breathe easy Bey. No one is even close to overthrowing you.
