Supplies
2 pieces of 2-feet long, 11-inch wide wood boards
2 pieces of 4-inch long, 11-inch wide wood boards
1 piece of 30-inch long, 18-inch wide wood board
Screws
Wood glue
Instructions
1. Place the two 4-inch long boards perpendicular to the 2-feet board on the top and bottom of the board, and drill into place with three screws in the top, middle, and bottom.
2. Pre-drill, then drill the other 2-foot long board onto the top of the 4-inch long boards to create a square that will be the writing surface and shelf element of your desk.
3. Place your 30-inch long board on your work area and measure out 3-inches from the bottom left and top right of the board. Use a flat edge to draw a line to connect these points. Use a circular saw to cut along this line.
4. On the wide end of your two new diagonal boards, measure and mark 2 inches from the bottom and side, and then pre-drill.
5. Put two rubber bumpers on the narrow bottom of each of your new diagonal boards so the leaning desk will not slip.
6. Retrieve the desk square and set upright. Apply wood glue to the inside of one of your new diagonal boards and secure with the flat side facing the front. Drill screws into the holes that were pre-drilled.
7. Repeat on the other side, and enjoy your new leaning desk!
