You'll be cleaning out storage when you come across your old laptop. You'll try booting it up for old time's sake and see that you're logged in to a very, very old account. A quick internet search for their current socials and you'll find out they're pretty cute too! You'll screenshot their old message and send it to them. You'll start chatting together using really outdated internet speech, and it'll all blossom from there.

You'll have this friend who knows someone, and they're itching to go on a double date. The problem is, they'll need a fourth. You'll happen to be free that night, but you'll make every excuse in the book because you'd much rather be in pajamas than go out with someone you've never met as a favor to a friend you only kind-of like. When you cave, you'll go to dinner and walk along the boardwalk with him. It'll be so much nicer than you'd expect, and you'll owe that friend big time for convincing you the double date was a good idea.

You'll be grabbing essentials for dinner when you opt for the self-checkout lane at the grocery store since there's never a line there. You'll scan an item, then place it in the bag. You'll scan another item, then place it with the first item. Then you hear, "Unexpected item in bagging area. Remove this item, then continue scanning." You'll remove it, but constantly keep hearing the same error message. He'll be at the checkout lane next to you, look over, and smirk at you. You'll be flustered because you won't know how to shut up your dumb machine. You'll feel his hand on your shoulder as he says, "Hold on, I'll grab someone for you." You'll both spend the next 10 minutes looking for someone to help you stop the warning message from blaring throughout the store.

At the grocery store self-checkout!

Something about elevators always gives you a weird vibe, and you hate to point fingers, but you're pretty sure it has something to do with _The Twilight Zone_. Anyway, you'll hop into an elevator and press the button for your floor. The elevator will start moving but stop suddenly. You'll start worrying. The doors will open and he'll walk in, confident, cool, and collected. He'll press the same floor you're going up to, but when the doors close, the elevator will start going down. It'll go back to the bottom floor and the doors will stick open. After about five minutes, you'll both determine the elevator is totally broken, and you'll bond while climbing the ten flights of stairs you need to take.

You hate going to the auto parts store because the smell of gas and rubber always gives you a headache, but it's supposed to rain all weekend and you need new windshield wiper blades.
