Disney has costumes for everything. Have you noticed how every person at a restaurant, resort, and attraction has a different costume? Have you noticed that Mickey Mouse has multiple outfits for every occasion? They're all stored in costuming, which is a wonderland.
3. If you see a cast member named Chris from Orlando, their name probably isn't Chris, and they probably aren't from Orlando.
4. There are parties exclusively for cast members, and they come straight from every Disney nerd's dreams.
As a cast member, we get tours of dark rides with the lights on, parties where special characters come out, and special access to parks after hours. It's pretty legit.
5. We have to stay on schedule, and we're not sorry.
6. Sometimes, we stay in character even when we visit the parks as guests.
7. Cast members have a certain way they point their fingers.
8. We're the best people to go to the parks with because we know them inside and out.
9. We have to follow the "Disney look."
10. We do, in fact, fangirl over Mickey Mouse.
11. If we had a dollar for every time we asked someone to stay behind the yellow line, we would be retired by now.
12. Our feet hurt almost 100% of the time.
13. Friends that work at rides with long waits are very valuable.
14. You can make anyone happy with a Disney sticker, so we have a ton of stickers everywhere.
15. We always get hit up for Disney tickets.
16. A lot of times, we let mean guests roll off of our backs.
People at Disney get hot, tired, and crabby. Sometimes, they like to take their grumpiness out on us. Their complaints are nothing we haven't heard before.
17. Princesses are just coworkers.
18. We respect parents who power through a full day at the parks.
19. We're great at telling stories.
20. The people we work with make our job 18,000% better.
21. Our favorite people to talk to are kids.
