There's still gum in my stomach from when I swallowed it six years ago.

We've heard all of these things some point in our lives, but are they true?

  1. If you shave above your knees, your hair will grow back twice as thick.

    This old wives' tale was probably started because when hair grow, it's tapered at the end. When it's shaved, that taper is gone, so the hair looks thicker. However, only one hair can grow per follicle.
