This Mom Collects Her Kids' Friends' Phones When They Come Over, And Of Course Parents Have Thoughts

"I love my kids' friends so much that I want them to talk to each other at our house."

Recently, author, activist, and mom Glennon Doyle posted on her Facebook page that she and her wife collect their kids' friends' phones when they visit her house:

"I love my kids' friends so much that I want them to talk to each other at our house," she wrote in her post.

The post is getting a lot of attention, and — as you can imagine — parents had a lot to say in the comments.

Some parents chimed in with support for the move, calling it a "great idea."

Others in favor of the idea shared their success implementing similar rules for their children.

And some parents even made plans to use this idea in the future.

But other parents criticized the idea, saying that it's unnecessary.

Some of them mentioned they'd be upset if someone did this with their children.

Others became concerned about implementing this rule with children who have anxiety.

And some parents even called it "grandstanding."

Still, some people liked the idea so much, they got the idea to extend the rule to the adult members of their households.

So, parents — what do you think of this idea? Would you use it with your kids and their friends, or no?
