My family moved into an older home when I was in middle school. I swore there was something up with the house for the longest time. I would always feel very creeped out. Sometimes I would think I’d hear my mom calling for me but she’d say it wasn’t her, or one time I thought I saw someone out of the corner of my eye, etc. The scariest moment for me was when I was babysitting my brother. We were playing in his room and we heard our parents’ car pull up and the door alarm chimed as they came in. We ran downstairs but no one was there. The door was still locked and the driveway was empty. We sat in the corner of his room until my parents really did get home!
Similar to another comment, I was babysitting my younger brother one night while my parents were out on a date. We were playing in his room when we heard a car park and the side door chimed to indicate someone had come inside. We both run downstairs to say hi but no one was home. The door was locked and there was no car in the driveway. It sounded so real and we both heard it, so I was really freaked out. There were other times when I would be in my room and hear my mom calling for me, but when I would find her she would have no idea what I was talking about. The scariest time was when I was cleaning up the living room and saw someone standing in the doorway out of the corner of my eye. Of course no one was actually there. I’m not saying that my parents’ house is haunted but it still creeps me out on occasion.
