By obeying these do's and don'ts, based on the tenets of the creed, we can assure a safe community of scholars here at the University of South Carolina. :)

The Carolinian Creed Do's And Don'ts

1. DO study hard and do your own work.. follow the honor code. DON'T cheat on assignments or tests.

2. DO respect all persons and treat everyone equally. DON'T subject anyone to hazing of any kind. DON'T take part in any sexual contact without consent.

3. DO respect everyone's property in the community. DO protect your personal items and belongings. DON'T steal, vandalize or damage another's property that does not belong to you. DON'T violate another person's rights to expression and privacy.

4. DO support equal rights and discourage bigotry. DO be open-minded to different beliefs, opinions and perspectives when learning. DON'T exclude others due to different gender, race, age, identity, religion, disability etc.

5. DO show an active interest and concern for our community and planet. DO respect other's dignity and rights for civil disagreements. DON'T be a bystander to harmful behavior; DO intervene or confront a negative situation. DO show a good sense of character.
