Kevin Rose Tells Digg Users To Chill Out
Kevin Rose has message for all the users who are less than pleased with the newly launched Digg 4. Chill out. The goal of Digg 4 is to get 20-30k Diggs on top stories vs the couple of hundred they were previously getting. Rose is not opposed to unhappy users finding a new home on let’s say, Reddit.
Google To Launch Music Service This Christmas
Google has recently announced that they will be releasing a new music downloading service called, “Google Music” by this Christmas. This new downloading service would be a direct competitor to iTunes and will deeply connect to the Android mobile operating system. Google is currently in talks with labels about launching such a service.
Just Launched: YouTube’s “Life In A Day” Gallery
In July, YouTube announced that it would be creating a project known as “Life In A Day,” asking users to film a day in their lives and upload what they recorded to a special YouTube channel. Recently, YouTube has launched an official gallery, showing off some of the 80,000 submissions that were received as a part of this project. This project will culminate in a feature length film produced by Ridley Scott and is set to debut at the Sundance Film Festival in January.
