Ombre locks? 2014. Pastel grey hair? Totally last week, apparently. Hair stylists around the world are getting really into a new dye technique called "xpresionpixel", which creates a pixelated effect on the hair.
Created by hair colorists Jose Luis Almendral, Marco Antonio Restrepo, and Jorge Cancer at X-presion Creativos, it's being done in salons across the world from Spain, to London, to New York.
Revlon used the technique in their Fall/Winter 2014 trend campaign, which is heavy on the Blade Runner vibe, mixed in with a bit of Tron and badass alien from the future.
