Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic can definitely write a hit song. He's been doing it with OneRepublic for years and also with some of your favorite musicians including Beyoncé, Adele, and Taylor Swift.

With a new album coming out this year, their latest single, "Kids," is going to be yet another hit for the band.

We spoke with Ryan who told us all about his favorite songs and ones that you should definitely be listening to this summer!

1. Jack Garratt, "Surprise Yourself"

Ryan Tedder: Love everything Jack Garratt puts out, especially this song.

2. The Chainsmokers ft. Daya, "Don't Let Me Down"

Columbia Records

RT: Think this is one of their best yet. It has a very The xx vibe to it with the guitar, which I love.

3. Miike Snow, "Genghis Khan"

Atlantic Records

RT: Miike Snow never fails to impress, always different, always slightly bizarre, always catchy and Scandinavian.

4. Betty Who, "I Love You Always Forever"

RCA Records

RT: I’ve been a fan of hers for a while. She's an amazing Aussie talent and this song brings back childhood memories.

5. DAVIS, "Crooked Finger"

RT: DAVIS is my favorite new California artist. It's rock but with massive hooks and attitude. Hope he blows up!!

6. Galantis, "No Money"

RT: This is the ear-candy song of the summer for me. The melody is a 10 with a very Scandinavian vibe. It's a guilty pleasure, fun, and it’s even got a children’s choir singing!!

7. Twenty One Pilots, "Ride"

Fueled By Ramen

RT: These guys are having a real moment with this album. I love this song because it reminds me of 311 back in the late '90s (whom I worshipped). Killer vibe and hook, just chill.

8. The 1975, "Somebody Else"

Windish Agency

RT: I was a fan of their EP, particularly the song “The City,” and this new album has some great no-holds-barred electro pop. It has some great Peter Gabriel and INXS influences. This is my favorite song on the album.

9. Cassius, "The Missing"

RT: Cassius came around before Daft Punk, and alongside each other those two acts defined French House music in the late '90s and introduced it to the world. This new album of theirs is amazing and I particularly love this song — it just so happens I co-wrote it and am singing on it (along with Pharrell). These guys are a big influence on our new album, too.
