I'm wicked, caring, intelligent, idiotic, bent, generous, selfish, prudish, sharp, dark, light, urban, rural, social. I'm a optimistic-pessimist, a saint, a sinner, I'm nice, I'm not. And like most written characters, I've shown the opposite traits in major scenes in my life with comic or not so funny outcomes. My main traits are intelligence, openess, curiosity, a sense of wonder, playful, funny, helpful to a fault, irritatingly handy, a fountainhead of bizarre trivia, a listener, (left-leaning) politically. I'm a tinkerer, an observer, a detective. I like learning about food, film, music, science, history without being snobby about it. I can talk to anyone. I don't give a damn about sports, don't see the life or death attraction to current culture, peruse t.v. shows but don't live my life around them, feel that no organized religion has the answer. I know what a salad fork is for, what wine goes with pork, and I always, always save room for dessert, but not always where I have dinner. It sounds like some mysterious metaphor, but it ain't, I think... I have the ability to listen and talk about anything from science and politics to gossip and scandal. I live for roadtrips to nowhere, backpacking through Europe, a walk at night through a drizzly Chinatown with coffee in North Beach, being at home with an old movie. I prefer vintage to new, non-mainstream to first run, used bookstores to Borders. I lean towards the dark. I'm nocturnal. I'm a reader of conspiracy theories but believer of few. I'm human, I'm real. I'm low key, no pressure. I'm easy but no flyweight. I'm solid. I'm still trying to figure it all out too.
