[Editor's Note: Illness anxiety disorder, more commonly known as hypochondria or health anxiety, is characterized by constantly worrying that you might be seriously ill. It may or may not occur along with physical symptoms, and it leads to significant distress, interfering with daily life. This diagnosis was introduced in the DSM-V, along with somatic symptom disorder (when physical symptoms are the primary complaint).
While these tweets may be relatable for many who experience or have been diagnosed with illness anxiety disorder, no one's experience is the same. Still, we hope you can find comfort knowing you're not the only one who has this type of anxiety.]
