The series will take place five years before the events of Rogue One, and will premiere on Disney+ on August 31, 2022.
You can tell this show is going to be different from the moment the trailer began, which shows a man going to work and striking a bell (possibly a warning).

The trailer also gets pretty political with Andor expressing his anger over the Imperials looking down on those they oppress. It very much speaks to how when you take away the Jedi and the Sith, this intergalactic war is a battle between social classes.

As usual, Star Wars is nailing it in the visuals department, as this series looks utterly breathtaking! Hats off to the cinematographers.

The show's official synopsis reads: "Andor, a tense nail-biting spy thriller created by Tony Gilroy, is set to arrive on Disney+ in 2022. Diego Luna, reprising the role of rebel spy Cassian Andor from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, will be joined by a fantastic new cast that includes Stellan Skarsgård, Adria Arjona, Fiona Shaw, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller, and Genevieve O'Reilly as Mon Mothma."
