How Did Your Family Talk About The Election This Thanksgiving?

Did it go how you expected it to?

Posted on

Thanksgiving is a time for family to come together, but also a time to potentially find yourself having conversations that you don’t want to have, or that you’ve been waiting to have for a long time.

On the latest episode of BuzzFeed's Another Round podcast, we're asking you to tell us how those family conversations went down.

If you talked about politics and the election this year... we want to hear how it went.

Maybe you called out your racist uncle...

Maybe you finally found the nerve to stand up for yourself and what you believe in...

Maybe you and your family got a little bit closer to understanding one another's perspectives and politics.

If you talked to your family this Thanksgiving, we want to hear how it went! Post your stories in the section below or email them to for a chance to be featured in a future BuzzFeed Community post and Another Round episode!

We’re looking for stories about conflict and resolution, about walking away from the table to breathe and those moments when you had to hold your tongue, or those other times when you didn’t.

And for a chance to be featured in Another Round, leave a short voicemail at 562-HIT-BUZZ. (Be sure to tell us how to get in touch with you!)
