What's The Best Vacation Spot For When You Need To Figure Out Your Life?

Changes in latitudes, changes in attitudes.

Fact: There are so many different kinds of vacations in this world.

There are the nature vacations, in which you relax by the lake every day until the sun sets, the adventure vacations, in which you snorkel and cliff jump and hike every day until your legs are sore, and the beach vacations, in which you stuff your face with guac and margs, to name a few.

But perhaps the most epic of all are the life-changing vacations — the ones that make you *see the light* and the world so differently, you come back a totally changed person.

These vacations aren't so much about the destination itself, but about what it does to your brain.

You've probably been on one of these: Maybe you went to India and got so into yoga, you decided to come back to the states and get your teaching certificate on the side.

And while you're still at your 9-to-5 for the money, your dreams of opening your own studio in the near future actually seem possible now.

Or maybe you and your partner went on a hiking trip in Utah and had this ~epiphany~ that city life just isn't for you guys, and you came home and moved to the mountains.

And now you're both healthier, happier, and more comfortable in your own skin than ever before.

Or perhaps you went on a solo trip to Costa Rica after you broke up with your significant other, and it truly helped you heal.

Because you had time to process your relationship without any distractions but the sky, you have a clearer picture of the type of person you truly deserve, and you won't settle for anything less.

Whatever your story — the good, the bad, the happy, the sad — the main point is that this particular trip changed you in some massive, fundamental way.

Which is why traveling can be so great. Yes, there are beautiful things to see and awesome things to do, but more often than not, going somewhere else can also help you see things inside yourself that were hiding beneath your everyday you.

So tell us: What's the most life-changing trip you've ever taken?
