Northern Territory photographer Matt Wright has taken his helicopter deep into the outback to show us how incredibly breathtaking Australia is.

Northern Territory photographer Matt Wright has always been the outdoorsy type. So when he earned his helicopter licence, he naturally gravitated towards flying over Australia's most untouched regions, deep in the country's Outback.

His job varies from day to day. Aside from the usual charter service, he's also involved in catching crocodiles and mustering cattle.

For his entry into the photo series Down Under From Above Wright described just how magical it is to fly over the Outback.

"The seasons up here change quite rapidly," he said. "Anything can happen in a day. You got nice, crisp blue skies in the morning. By that afternoon, you got dark storms rolling in over pristine green flood plains. It’s quite a scene."

Wright shared a selection of his photos to highlight how stunning the Australian landscape can be.
