Response to How Did You Actually Lose Weight In 2016?:
I keep the 80/20 rule in mind. 80% of the time you eat clean, 20% of the time you can eat what you want. Also 80% of weight loss is food, 20% is working out. Keeping that in mind is much more sustainable over time, and doesn’t feel like a diet, it’s a total lifestyle change. Also, strength training! I feel so strong! I’m down over 60 lbs in about 14 months!
Response to Tell Us Why You Started To Like Running:
I grew up hating running. I was always the kid bringing up the rear whenever we had to run for gym class or at volleyball practice. As I got older, I got bigger. I topped out at 245. I needed to make a change and started doing elliptical, but after a while I felt like I wasn’t working hard enough. And the elliptical is so BORING. I challenged myself to start running. I don’t know at one point I because a “runner,” but now I look forward to it. When I saw what I was capable of pushing my body and my MIND to do, I fell in love. I’m running my second 10k in a couple of weeks and I’m hoping to have my best run yet!
