LeBron James Could Probably Be The Best Olympic Volleyball Player Ever

A few, definitely. H/T Reddit.

Recently, Javier Garcia-Cuesta, the coach of the US handball team (which did not qualify for the Olympics), said LeBron James could become the best handball player in the world if he trained for six months.

That got people thinking: what other Olympic sports could LeBron dominate?

Hmm.

For reference, LeBron (who is not competing in this year's Olympics) is 6-foot 8-inches tall and weighs 250 pounds.

The obvious place to start is volleyball.

LeBron wouldn't even be the tallest member of the U.S. men's volleyball team. But he can jump very high and is an excellent shot blocker.

Okay, what about boxing?

Again: LeBron is huge. His arms are massive, and his wingspan is seven feet. Plus, he's fast as hell. I don't know if he's ever boxed, but I think he would be pretty good.

Alright, how about rowing?

Because, like, dude's arms are huge. His core strength is on point. But maybe he'd be too heavy for the boat?

How about weightlifting?

There's no real data about how much LeBron can lift, but for comparison, the much smaller Stephen Curry (6-foot-3, 190 pounds) can deadlift 400 pounds.

Okay, maybe the most interesting one, swimming.

The best swimmer in the world, Michael Phelps, is 6-foot-4 and 194 pounds. Large hands and feet, as well as a wide wingspan, are traits that help Phelps in the pool. LeBron has those things, too.
