Can You Pick The Most Valuable Storage Unit?

It's auction day at the storage facility and you've got one chance to make a good investment.

You made $700! Nice. You never know what's hiding inside nondescript cardboard boxes, and today you stumbled upon a valuable rare book collection. Plus, the bicycle was in good enough shape to sell on Craigslist for a good price.

Value: $1000.

You lost $475. Womp, womp. You got seduced by this fairly organized unit, but lurking inside all the furniture was a nasty termite infestation. You managed to scrape together some money selling the electronics, but not your best day.

Value: $400.

You made $5,150! It didn't look like much, but that blue box in the center was full of mint condition vintage Star Wars action figures. Never judge a book by its cover.

Jackpot! This is worth over $5,500.

You made $25. Meh. This unit held two broken vacuums and a bunch of old clothes. You got your money back but didn't even make enough to cover gas. Better luck next time.

Value: $325.

You made $1,300! The unit was sparse, and it was indeed 99% trash, but sitting inside that one cardboard box was a diamond in the rough: a mono pressing of "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" worth over a grand.

Value: $1,500.

You made $2000! You knew there would be something worthwhile in that chest of drawers. A collection of rare butterflies, perhaps? Not quite. It's a meticulously organized collection of vintage hunting licenses. You'll have to put in work cataloguing them for sale on eBay, but in the end you'll make a profit.

Value: $3,200.

You made $200. A stack of anonymous cardboard boxes is always enticing, but this unit was mostly bunk. If not for a set of ice carving tools worth about $500 you would have lost your money on old books and cleaning supplies.

Value: $800.

You lost $575. Dang, when you got into a bidding match with an elderly local, you were hoping that guitar case was holding a mint-condition Martin, but inside was a family of rats and shredded newspaper.

You broke even. You bid on this unit because your buddy Jed is always down to buy used stereo equipment, but aside from an old CD player this box mostly contained ancient, broken computer monitors.

Value: $700.
