Slimming With Swimming

Is swimming really that good for slimming? Well it's not up to me to say. But all cardio should be done regularly, like 3 times a week. If you actually put in the effort to swim 3 times a week, yes, you'll slim down.

Is swimming really that good for slimming?

Well it's not up to me to say. But all cardio should be done regularly, like 3 times a week. If you actually put in the effort to swim 3 times a week, yes, you'll slim down.

Other than slimming down, swimming also allows you to gain muscle. What are the benefits of more muscle? Well, muscle requires more calories to maintain, hence when you have more muscle, you will burn fats faster. This is complicated, so just know that more muscle = burn fat faster.

If you're a girl and you think that gaining muscle would make you look like a man, you're wrong. What happens is that girls have low testosterone levels and thus will not become huge like a man. On the contrary, the nice hour-glass figure many girls yearn to have are mainly due to muscles. Thus most fitness models have very nice figures.

Swimming is a very refreshing sport. Going into the water and coming out will make you feel refreshed and energetic for the rest of the day, provided you're not swimming competitively!

I would also say, swimming is an injury free sport, for recreational swimmers. This is because you won't have to deal with all the falls and bruises, fractures and cuts. The pressure of the water also soothes your muscles and relaxes your body.

Like I said in the earlier post, you need muscles to burn fats faster, and also, to get a nice figure for both men and women. The fastest way to get that muscle is of course, not from swimming, but from weightlifting.

Now you might be thinking "why this random paragraph?".

It's just that i would like to bring across that swimming allows you to remove that lactic from your muscles after that strenuous weightlifting workout of yours. Just a slow swim for half an hour, would make your muscles feel more relaxed and would clear up much of the lactic acid!

So that's all for slimming with swimming! If you're interested in learning how to swim, you can search Google for many free resources which will teach you the basic strokes of swimming! However, I will still prefer YouTube the most because videos are more realistic!

Thus, swimming is really a good sport to take up for fitness. We'll touch more on swimming next time!
