The First Pictures Of Snowflakes EVER

This is Wilson Bentley, the first known photographer of snowflakes.

He had loved snow since his childhood on a Vermont farm.

1. He perfected a process of catching snowflakes on black fabric, then photographing them with a microscope and bellows camera.

2. He took THOUSANDS of detailed pictures of snowflakes in his lifetime!

3. Each one is unique.
