You Guys, One Of The Best Running Gags In "Scrubs" Was Improvised

If you're a fan of Scrubs, aka the best damn medical comedy-drama that ever existed, I've got a little fact for you that'll make you love Turk and J.D. even more.

In an interview with BuzzFeed, Zach Braff revealed that the cast would get to mess around a lot on set and improvise.

"One of the great things about the show was that Bill Lawrence let us improvise a lot, so we would always get what was written locked down, and then we would just play around," Braff told BuzzFeed. "And that’s where some of the audience’s favorite stuff over the years came from — just us all playing around and being silly."

In fact, all of that "playing around and being silly" led to one of the most iconic running gags in Scrubs.

    Are you ready for this?

    It was...

That's RIGHT. According to Braff, "EAAAGLEEEE" wasn't even in the original script!

"We were such good friends that it was just kind of like anyone watching who has a group of friends who would just joke around and make each other laugh and be stupid together," Braff said. "That’s what we were doing. So a lot of the stuff, like Eagle and all that stuff, was just us fucking around."

    Thank goodness it happened.
